We Treasure Our Volunteers

FATHER ALLOUEZ CATHOLIC SCHOOL Volunteer Award, 2024-25

As a school family, we at Father Allouez can think of no volunteer who does more to lighten our load than Heather Milbach.  Heather, you are the light on the lampstand that Christ tells us about: in so many moments our community shines brighter because of you!

For the past seven years Heather has helped us in every imaginable way: in some big ways, and often just as important, in a thousand little ways.

Her light shines as a Girl Scout leader, when our scouts learn through activities, teamwork, and service.

Her light shines in the Lunchroom when she cheerfully helps our Food Service team, serving meals and cleaning up with a smile.

Her light shines every year when she works tirelessly on our Auction Fundraiser — these past two years as a Co-Chair!

Her light shines through in her role as Vice-Chair of our Site Advisory Council, where she leads the “Activities and Community Outreach” branch.   Not only is she at each of the events, but she helps make them GO, largely responsible for the details.

Her light shone bright when we turned to her to represent parents and parishioners on last year’s Principal Selection Committee.

Heather’s light shines through her presence at Resurrection Parish — on Pastoral Council, where she serves as a school liaison, and when she helps with Hospitality after Masses, with Generations of Disciples, and with Vacation Bible School.

Her light glows each time we call her when we’re in a pinch: for Field Day, for Catholic Schools Week, to sub in for someone who can’t make it!

We know her light shines brightly in her role as Community Relations Manager at Schreiber Foods, and in her community outreach that includes her service as a Junior Achievement Classroom volunteer; and through Big Brothers, Big Sisters; the American Cancer Society; the Howe Resource Center; and the Chamber of Commerce.

Most of all, Heather’s light shines brightest as a wife to her teammate Zach, and as a mother to their wonderful children Parker, Rowan, and Watson!  Her joyful, humble, servant heart is a beautiful parenting example.

Heather we are incredibly grateful for all the kindness, wisdom, and dedication you put into serving us.  One of our great blessings at Father Allouez is having the light of people like Heather Milbach in our midst!
