We are excited to introduce our new Middle School ELA Teacher, Mrs. Brandi Fox. Here is a bit about her --
"Hi, my name is Brandi Fox, and I have been a teacher for six years. The 2026 Academic year will be my 7th year teaching middle school Language Arts. I am thrilled to be a part of the Father Allouez community! I received my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in Middle Grades Education from Angelo State University in 2017. I received my Masters of Education in Reading Education from Georgia Southern University in 2025. I am seeking a PhD in Literacy, Language, and Culture from Clemson University.
I am a lifelong learner with a focus on adolescent literacy. From the famous words of Frederick Douglass: "Once you learn to read, you will be forever free." The main goal of literacy is to equip people with the abilities to read, write, speak, and listen effectively, to understand, communicate, and engage in the world around them.
In my classroom, I try to foster and nurture an environment that includes deep critical thinking, rich dialogue, and intense self-reflection. I strive to create an environment within my classroom where students are aware of self and others with a focus on empathy, compassion, integrity, respect, and resiliency. My philosophy of teaching is based on a belief that learning should be student-centered and responsive to students' needs. I find joy as a teacher when I see my students highly engaged, participatory, and successful.
Beyond teaching, I enjoy reading, running, hiking, camping, traveling, playing disc golf, attending concerts, and spending time with my family. As a family, we enjoy attending professional sporting events and making core memories. A goal my family has is to attend as many, if not all, National Parks as well as visit all 50 states. We also want to attend all or as many Packers games as possible."
