About Me
From a family of teachers, Mary has made a career and found meaning in teaching students Spanish and ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages) for over 20 years. Her students give her hope, and remind her of the significance of the present moment. Mary grew up in Kenosha, spent two decades in Oregon exploring and farming (beef cattle and Douglas fir trees) with her husband, and has recently returned to her WI roots. She has several adult godchildren who mean the world to her. One is a freshman on St.Norbert’s men’s volleyball team. She loves time with family/friends and being outside. She also enjoys art and writing and served as co-poet laureate of Racine from 2024-2026.
