About Me
Kindergarten is an exciting time! I feel blessed and honored to be your child's teacher! I love teaching kindergarten! Five and six year-olds bring a sense of wonder and imagination to school. Each day is an exciting adventure! In the classroom, these kids become readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists, and so much more! I have been teaching at Father Allouez for fourteen years and have been a part of the St. Matthew Parish community for over 26 years! All four of my children attended K-8 at this school!! My oldest daughter, Katie, and her husband are both teachers and coaches, my daughter Hannah is a lawyer, Abigail is a grad student and Daniel recently graduated from St. Norbert College and works in sales and marketing. My husband, Dean, is the Director of the Center for Exceptional Leadership at St. Norbert College. I have a dog, Walter, who is 3 years old. He weighs five pounds soaking wet! I love spending time at my cottage, hiking, snowshoeing, reading, playing games, and spending time with family and friends. Although I have a family of my own, during the school year my class becomes my family as well. It is important to me to pass on my love of Jesus and the Catholic faith and begin transforming our classroom into a caring and nurturing “kindergarten family”.
