Friday Spotlight- Kindergarten

Kindergarten at Father Allouez Catholic School

Kindergarten is such a fun and exciting time in a child’s life!  Our goal at Father Allouez Catholic School is to provide Kindergarteners with a loving, nurturing environment that helps them establish the groundwork necessary for future academic success.  Emphasis is placed on fostering basic skills in language, numeracy, problem-solving, and social interactions.  Our faith-filled environment is interactive, and encourages hands-on exploration and play as part of the learning process.  Highlights of our school year include:

  • Learning to read!
  • Outdoor educational experiences at Barkhausen Preserve and Osprey Point
  • Preparing and participating in 2-3 school masses
  • Performing the Christmas Nativity Play
  • Forming relationships with our reading buddies.
  • Problem-solving experiences using our Project Lead the Way curriculum
  • Designing and building gingerbread houses
  • The 100 Day Celebration!
  • Celebrating our classmates with our SuperHero of the Week!

Singing, dancing, laughing and having fun is a cherished part of our kindergarten school family!

Next weeks Friday Spotlight, Middle School!
